With more than 80 million Americans connecting to the Web at video-friendly speeds, TV networks have started using the Internet not just to promote their shows, but also to distribute them. The potential audience for online TV is already larger than the number of homes served by DirecTV and DISH combined and will soon be larger than the cable TV universe as well.
