Connie Kruzan

Connie Kruzan has been affiliated with the Valley Community Clinic for over eighteen years.  She developed and implemented a state funded teen pregnancy prevention demonstration project, Valley Teen Clinic, a reproductive healthcare clinic run by and for teens.  Before joining a panel asking what California is doing right about teen pregnancy, Kruzan sat down for our In The Green Room Q&A.

Q. What music have you listened to today?
A. Ozomatli.

Q. Who was your childhood hero?
A. Billie Jean King.

Q. What do you consider to be the greatest simple pleasure?
A. Peace and quiet.

Q. What surprises you the most about your life right now?
A. That I still am finding what I do for a living to be a lot of fun and refreshing and challenging.

Q. Where would we find you at 10 a.m. on a typical Saturday?
A. Walking my dogs in the park or at work running Teen Clinic.

Q. What do you do to clear your mind?
A. Knit.

Q. What do you wish you had the nerve to do?
A. Skydive.

Q. What is your favorite cocktail?
A. Dirty martini up.

Q. What profession would you like to practice in your next life?
A. I’d like to be a doctor.

Q. If you could take only one more journey, where would you go?
A. Back to Denmark to visit my family.

Q. Who is the one person living or dead you would most want to meet for dinner?
A. Orson Welles.
