TV Producer Susana Seijas Takes Questions in the Green Room

Susana Seijas is a freelance journalist and TV producer based in Mexico City who has worked for CBS News, 60 Minutes, HDNet World Report and Dan Rather Reports. Before moderating a panel of journalists discussing the challenges of “Telling Mexico’s Stories,” she took questions in our Green Room.

Q. What was the last great book that you read?
A. Brooklyn by Colm Toibin.

Q. What is your favorite dessert?
A. Crème brulee.

Q. What is the best piece of advice you ever received?
A. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Q. What do you do to procrastinate?
A. Do anything else but what I’m meant to be doing.

Q. What do you wish you had the nerve to do?
A. Climb Mt. Everest.

Q. What would we find you doing at 8 pm on an average Saturday night?
A. Probably hanging out with my friends and having a nice dinner somewhere.

Q. What time do you start working in the morning?
A. About 7 am, when I start reading the papers.

Q. If you could take one trip anywhere in the world, where would you go?
A. Bhutan.

Q. What is your most prized material possession?
A. A self-portrait that my father painted.

Q. Who do you most admire?
A. Leo Tolstoy.
