Carlos Moreno is a former associate justice of the California Supreme Court. Before participating in a panel evaluating direct democracy in California after a century of initiative and referendum, he answered questions in our green room for the second time (we assured him we had new queries) about his habits (coffee with cream), favorites (the bulldog), and childhood ambitions (businessman).
