Ellen Hanak is a senior fellow at the Public Policy Institute of California who researches water and natural resources. Before participating in a panel on the future of the California Delta, she talked allergies, flying dreams, and sherry in the Zócalo green room.

Do you have any recurring dreams or nightmares?


A:

Sometimes I dream I can fly, which is very lovely.

A:

Dry Spanish sherry.

A:

Promising I’m going to finish something today.

What California policy would you most like to eradicate completely?


A:

If we still did not have gay marriage I would say that, but that’s OK now. So probably some of the others on my list I better not say.

What can you absolutely not leave home without?


A:

My EpiPen.

A:

Bees.

A:

Horseradish.

A:

Oh dear. It has to be John I guess.
