I’ve been working at an Italian restaurant for the past couple years. A friend got me in as a dishwasher, and I used that as a gateway to work my way up. Now I’m a cook; I like doing desserts.
Right now I’m carrying my sweater and my knives. I have a paring knife, a bread knife, a fillet knife, two chefs knives, and two others that I use as utility knives.
I pass the time on the bus listening to various genres of punk, which is also what I listen to at the restaurant—I have a little speaker that I put in front of my station, and I put on full albums when I cook.
