Hope Street Lincoln Boulevard

Philosophy, Science, and PB&Js on the Train

Garrison James Benoit

I take public transportation because I enjoy the exercise. I actually have a truck—a V-8. It uses a lot of gas. I divide my commutes half and half between my truck and Metro.

I read philosophy, science, and history on the train. Right now I’m reading Dune and a book about the Golden Ratio, which is supposedly a sacred number. I usually bring my backpack, which houses my sandwiches—PB&Js—fruits, and nuts.

I think about everything. Life. Where human society is headed in the near future. Anything that I can, I’ll think on it.
