Patrick Hruby is an illustrator and designer from Los Angeles, California. He graduated from ArtCenter College of Design where he now teaches in the illustration department. His bright and geometric illustrations have been commissioned by clients like the United Nations, The New York Times, The Guardian, WIRED, and Target. Inspired in equal measure by midcentury and Scandinavian design, as well as Nintendo games from the 1980s and 1990s, his layered and geometric designs reveal a bright and optimistic view of worlds real and imaginary. His illustrations for Zócalo apply this vision the full range of animal life from micro- to mega-fauna.
