If I Could Have a Superpower, I'd Want the Ability to Create a United States of Europe

Dr. Timo Lochocki directs research activities on European diversity and party politics for the German Marshall Fund. His scholarship has focused on right wing populist parties in Europe. Before joining the panel at a Zócalo/NPR Berlin event, “Is Populism Undermining Western Democracy?” Lochocki hinted that he needs more sleep.

A:

My family.

What superpower would you most like to have?


A:

To be able to create the United States of Europe.

What social media website do you spend the most time on?


A:

I do not spend much time, but if have to say one, it’s Facebook.


Q:

Where would we find you at 10 a.m. on a typical Saturday?


A:

Hopefully in bed, but that isn’t happening very often.


Q:

What’s your favorite spot in Berlin?


A:

My bed.


Q:

Roller coaster or ghost train?


A:

Ghost train. I experienced my best time in childhood in an amusement park with many ghost trains.
