I carry a bible on the bus. So, I carry God along with me.
I’m a preacher, and I take the bus to different convalescent homes twice a week, and to church in South Los Angeles. I stopped driving about two years ago, but I don’t like to bother people to pick me up, and I like to be independent. I have children, but they have their own jobs and so forth. So, I just get around by myself.
I was a pickup delivery driver in L.A. for 47 years. On the bus, I’m re-learning all the nooks and crannies I learned from driving a truck through this town, and the towns surrounding here, too.
