I Felt like I Needed Turtles in my Life

Paola Montes

My friends and I rode the Metro so I could take photos for my class—shots of architecture and people in-motion.

We were in Chinatown today and I bought a pair of turtles. It was really a last minute thing. I saw them and just felt like I needed turtles in my life. I don’t know what I’ll name them yet.

I’m visiting L.A. from Lancaster. I come here once in awhile to get inspiration for photography. And sometimes to get turtles, too.
