Luis Flores
I grew up in Watts. Sometimes I was bullied for being “the smart kid.” I loved all those science shows on TV. My favorite was Popular Mechanics for Kids. As I grew up, I started reading about biotechnology and all the things I could do in the field. I was fascinated by it all. Now I’m studying microbiology. I should be graduating next summer. I’m almost there.
