There are a lot of nice people on the train. They don’t usually talk to you, but if something goes wrong, suddenly it’s a community. Especially when a train breaks down, and everyone has to squeeze into one bus. We’re all crammed in there, but we talk to each other!
I bring my backpack when I commute. I carry a lot of hats. I have hand sanitizer. I have lots of pencils and a little journal, which is the most valuable thing in here. I also have a small pair of binoculars. I use them to look at birds mostly, but if there’s something else interesting to look at, they’re good for that, too.
