I was very young when I first came to L.A. from Lima, Peru. I didn’t even speak English. I’ve come a long way. I work as a cook now. I cook American food—breakfasts and steaks—all day. When I get home, my wife and I make Peruvian food: arroz con pollo, ceviche, and some caldo.
